White House press secretary Josh Earnest started his daily briefing Friday with an important announcement.
“The president stands squarely behind the decision he made yesterday to wear his summer suit,” Earnest said, before letting out a laugh.
In case you missed it, Obama’s decision to wear a tan suit as he made comments on the threat of the Islamic State, the situation in Syria and other important topics sent Twitter into a tizzy on Thursday. As Earnest noted, Obama wore his tan suit three days before Labor Day.
Topsy, which does social media analytics, reported there were more than 4,000 tweets about Obama’s suit during the president’s remarks from the White House briefing room.
